“When I put paint to canvas, it's like opening a door to another world. I go into my 'secret garden’, shut the door behind me and get lost there for a while. It's restorative, liberating and spiritual in a sense. Life can deflate us with its demands and responsibilities, while finding that space to be creative pumps the air back into our tyres.”
Tania Vanzetti is a self-taught artist who is the business owner and founder of Tania’s Art Corner. She tutors children from ages 5 to 16, conducting after-school, home-school and holiday workshops from her home studio in Hocking. She also runs adult painting and drawing classes. Tania believes there is an artist inside everyone! “We start life with a crayon or a pencil/paintbrush in our hand. Then somewhere along the line, someone decides if we are ‘arty’ or not. I believe we were all born loaded with imagination and creativity, but we develop at different rates to each other. We need space to grow and discover our potential.” She has developed her own teaching method, which has proven to produce amazing results, training children as young as 5 to paint beyond their years. A big part of her success, says Tania, is in encouraging her students to believe in themselves.
She is regularly invited to judge numerous country art shows in the wheat-belt areas and runs workshops from Kalgoorlie to Dalwallinu. When there is space in her busy, crazy world, Tania enjoys painting in oils. Tania is also a writer and illustrator, having recently published her first children’s book, An Extraordinary Day, which is filled with incredible water-colour paintings. She is in the process of producing the sequel. Her book is available on Amazon Australia. https://www.amazon.com.au/Ext.../dp/0646977539/ref=sr_1_1...
