I love the beach! I love sunrises and sunsets! And I love the clean colours of seagulls - the pure white and light greys. So I combined these into a painting that I've called "Into the Breeze".
Most of us have been to the beach and appreciated that there's usually a breeze. When the sun is warming up our skin, or we're taking a walk, the gentle breeze is welcomed. Often the breeze is made up of certain smells that belong to our beach, even though it changes with the direction of the wind and seasons. I also love to watch the seagulls and how they glide in the breeze, effortlessly.
My hope is this painting transports you to your favourite beach - you feel the breeze, smell the ocean and imagine a seagull suspended in the sky. I'm sure you'd love this daily reminder hanging in your space.
This painting is full of colour and energy. I've used a brush and palette knife to gain texture.
