Artwork Description

"Shadow Lines" captures the quiet beauty of a walk along a dirt path gently patterned by the play of tree shadows. Inspired by a walk I took with my family in the Central West of New South Wales, the piece has earthy tones that evoke stillness and connection to the land. There's a serenity in the rhythm of the shadows which offer a moment of calm intrigue.

This piece would complement 'earthy', timber interiors.

Artist Bio

Hi there! I am a landscape artist based in Orange, NSW.
Having moved to Orange a few years ago, my young family and I enjoy exploring the Central West which has inspired my more recent acrylic artworks.
Although my paintings are based on places visited, I am led by the painting process, enjoying finely layering colours and discovering as new details emerge.

“When visiting these places, there is often a sense of being time-limited – a weekend getaway, a short bush walk, or needing to take children home. I am interested in capturing these ‘quick escapes’ on the canvas for longer-term enjoyment and reflection.

While there is beauty in the vastness of Australian landscapes, my current body of work is intentionally focussed and smaller in size. I want to create something that is somewhat understated, that draws you in further. Paintings that complement the smaller spaces – an image you can step into without getting lost in a big, wide landscape.”
