Tara Lewis studied at the Queensland College of Art in Brisbane and currently enjoying painting in Central Queensland whilst participating in local & state wide art exhibitions. Award winning recognition and ongoing collector’s support has been instrumental in developing new work.

Working with mixed media (acrylic paint, charcoal, ink, graphite, oil pastels) to create interesting layers and explore new marks with found objects. “Each painting is an exploration, challenge, and reward to express the playful line between energy and calmness, working intuitively from memory, feeling, sketches and photos, I use this as a starting point for a painting then allow it to evolve and take its own journey”.

Having a limitless fascination with the relationship of colour and form, each painting searches to exceed the boundaries of representation, each developing painting is to explore and push each painting in a newly discovered place.
