When I saw my mum's newly acquired second-hand shop find, the bright yellow little jug, I just had to borrow it to paint into a still life. I love the cheerful pop of colour, paired with the charming orange and yellow floral design on the tea cup, and the tea-tree flowers creating almost a wallpaper effect.
Artwork finished with a satin varnish and is framed.

Artwork Description
Artist Bio
Based in Lithgow, just outside the Blue Mountains, as a self-taught artist, I am constantly inspired to create works that capture the awe I feel at the colours, light and shadow in my surroundings, and amazing places I've visited. Drawing and painting have always been expressive outlets for me. In my landscapes I try to convey the feeling and atmosphere of a place, while highlighting a few detailed elements. I also really love creating a story in a still life, arranging vintage objects, along with books and flowers that somehow relate, either decoratively or sentimentally.
My main medium of choice is acrylic paint, leaning towards realism in my artwork, sometimes with a touch of mystery. I'm delighted to be able to share my creations with you!
