Artwork Description

"The moon does not fight. It attacks no one. It does not worry. It does not try to crush others. It keeps to its course, but by its very nature, it gently influences. What other body could pull an entire ocean from shore to shore? The moon is faithful to its nature and its power is never diminished".
- Deng Ming-Dao

The Pink Moon is named after the early spring bloom of wild ground phlox—one of the first flowers to paint the landscape in soft pinks. Though not necessarily pink in color, this moon symbolises rebirth, renewal, and the gentle awakening of the earth after winter’s slumber.

Spiritually, the Pink Moon encourages emotional healing, new beginnings, and the planting of intentions for growth. In this painting, the Pink Moon reflects tenderness, hope, and the quiet power of transformation, reminding us that beauty often begins in the smallest, softest signs of change.

Artist Bio

Wishing everyone a Happy NAIDOC Week!

I am inspired by the beauty of the world around me. I live by the ocean and find wonder in her ever-changing moods and colours. I find inspiration in the animals that cross my path and the subtle messages they bring.

I paint from my heart and am guided by my spiritual connection to Mother Earth. Every colour is a mood and every dot is a thought or emotion.

I'm sending out love and light to all the artists here on Bluethumb and wishing everyone every success!

To all the collectors, art lovers and patrons of the arts - I hope you find something you would like to make a part of your life and home!

I would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land, rivers and seas, and pay my respects to the Elders past, present and emerging for they hold the knowledge, traditions and dreams of us all.
