Artwork Description

Oil over acrylic on stretched canvas with a layer of Satin Varnish protection. Painted around the edges (doesn't need framing). Ready to hang.

Nature is my endless source of inspiration. This painting I created combining soft brush strokes to evoke the feeling of calm with textural palette knife touch to add the emotional energy, spirit and dynamic. Blue is a color that is designed to make people feel good just by looking at it! I associate blue with sincerity, inspiration, and spirituality. The blue tones it slows the pulse rate and is overall a calming and relaxing color. But it’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see. When I see it, I almost feel like I am in heaven.

Artist Bio

Tatiana Odegova, I am a full time artist who lives and works in Melbourne Australia.
I began my artistic journey at the early age of 11 by enrolling to an Art School and 4 years later continued my Art education in the State Art College in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
In 1991 I graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Teaching Fine Arts.
In 2010 I moved to Australia where I continue to explore my artistic abilities with growing reputation as an artist and teacher. I worked in a variety of mediums such as acrylic, oil, watercolour or drawing, however oil was always a preferable choice. Through the more than 40 years of my artistic journey I developed my own technique where images arise from an abstract background combining roughness and serenity. I can describe my art style as an abstract realism as I’m combining abstraction with figuration and stylization. Regarding themes and my colour palette, there is no limitation.
I am bewitched and constantly been amused by the beauty and diversity of the natural world and the relationship between nature and human being. Through my art, I seek to capture the delicate forms and vibrant colors of the nature beautiful creations, and to share their beauty with others. My paintings are not just representations of these beautiful creations, but also expressions of the emotions and experiences that they evoke in me. Emotions and feelings are the main motives that drive my creativity and I try to convey them on my paintings. My artworks might look sensitive, lyrical or impressionistic and dynamic. I believe that whatever subject the artists create, it is always a self-portrait of their spirit.
I never stop learning and exploring new art techniques and implementing them in my projects. I hope that my creations will inspire others to appreciate the beauty of life and to connect with the natural world around us.
