Artwork Description

Triese translates to strength, vigor, and power. In this artwork, that force manifests not as an external armor, but as a deep, internal resilience emerging from within the figure.
Rooted in psychological expressionism, the work approaches the human body as a living landscape where emotion and identity continually evolve.

The composition balances light and shadow—the dark, heavily worked background pressing inward while the central figure radiates an incandescent warmth. Here, vulnerability and power exist side-by-side. Triese stands as a visual exploration of endurance: a meditation on the strength required to remain whole, grounded, and unyielding amid the dark.

Artist Bio

Tiana Satcau is an international visual artist whose practice encompasses figurative painting, psychological expressionism, and contemporary symbolic art. Artistic expression is deeply embedded in her DNA; coming from a rich lineage of creative minds, her artistic foundation was strongly influenced by her grandfather, a famous artist in Russia. Tatiana formally developed her artistic practice in Moscow, Russia, where she completed studies in both Art and Psychology—a dual background that deeply informs the emotional resonance of her work.

Her art approaches the human body as a dynamic psychological landscape where memory, emotion, and identity continuously reshape and evolve. Drawing directly from her background in psychology, Tatiana translates internal cycles of challenge, reflection, and renewal into physical form through expressive brushwork and layered abstraction. Light and darkness function as key symbolic forces in her practice, existing in a harmonious relationship that highlights how vulnerability, tension, and resilience coexist within personal growth. Through figures that often appear fragmented or partially obscured, her work captures the delicate threshold between instability and emergence, balancing human fragility with profound strength.

Her career milestones include a solo private exhibition 'A game of light' held in 2025. Bridging her family’s creative legacy with a nuanced understanding of human emotion, she aims to create visual narratives that connect meaningfully with contemporary art collectors.
