Spring

This panel, made in the technique of cold batik on natural silk, depicts one of the four girls representing the seasons. Spring, like all the other works in this series, is inspired by the work of Art Nouveau artists.

With over twenty years of web design experience in the past, I am now pursuing my lifelong dream of focusing on creating my own batik studio.
In Moscow I studied academic drawing and watercolor at the Andriaki Academy, took private lessons from famous masters of cold and wax batik.
Now I like to work in a mixed technique of painting on silk and acrylic.
I paint frescoes, shawls, women’s and men’s scarves and cushions.
I am inspired by the works of European artists and the nature of Australia, filled with poetry and beauty.
I am also happy to be able to share my knowledge of batik with all who are interested.
