This artwork was inspired after visiting the Bay Area in San Francisco during a heat wave and spending mornings walking up the golden peaks.
This artwork captures the essence of the golden hills surrounding San Francisco, using a minimalist yet textured approach. The gradient sky transitions from a cool blue to a warmer tone as it meets the hills below, evoking the calming colors of sunset. The hills themselves are created with vertical lines that mimic the natural contours and ridges of the landscape. Spray paint forms the base of the piece, providing a soft, blended backdrop, while hand-sewn threads add a tactile element, giving depth and an organic feel.
