The Wait

The Wait is an original painting capturing the quiet moment surfers share while sitting beyond the waves waiting for the next set.

This work revisits the composition of my earlier painting Beyond the Break . The surfers are placed in a circular arrangement but each surfer has been reimagined through different colours, boards and subtle shift in details.

The aerial perspective and open ocean create a calm, contemplative coastal scene that brings a sense of space and stillness to an interior.

This painting is in a beautiful Oak float frame and is 'ready to hang', with all fixtures and fittings attached to the back. It comes with a certificate of authenticity.

I began my artist journey in 2016, self-taught and guided by a belief that creativity knows no bounds. Alongside a part-time job, I spend my other days immersed in the vibrant work of my art.

Sydney is my dream city. Its laid-back coastal lifestyle, ocean swims, beaches up and down the coast,the shimmering blues and greens of the water, the iconic ocean pools. This is my source of inspiration.
