Artwork Description

Delicate tones of olive green, cream and white feature in this calming piece. With organic shapes reminiscent of continents, and drip details which reveal layers beneath. Such a stunning piece with textured surface and metallic accents.

This painting features layers of free flowing paint, fluid acrylics, spray paint, pigments and more. Delicious accents of deep gold paint as well as shimmers of light gold and copper reflect off the canvas. Lots of beautiful layering and depth which will keep you discovering new elements with each viewing.

Measuring 123 x 73cm, this artwork will be statement in your home. Framed in raw oak frame

With a fascination for the science behind mediums and how they interact, this painting is an exploration of these relationships as well as emotion. Delicious details of thinner and thicker paints meeting and creating organic patterns will have you looking up close at the piece. Textural background and metallic paint adds to the luxury feel.

Artist Bio

Give me a canvas and I no longer fear the white space. I love the freedom of fluid mediums, the energy that comes with letting loose and intuitively painting what I feel right then and there. Since becoming a mum (now of two), I no longer have time to procrastinate, and that has allowed my work to become more honest, free and explosive.

I love to create large scale pieces that invite you to come closer, look for the details, the texture, interactions between different media. The marks are made with all the tools I can find - my hands, finger tips, palette knives, brushes, cups, pippettes, whatever I can find! Dripping, splashing, tipping paint and mixed media - it's all so delicious!

I take inspiration from all around me- but most often from what I'm feeling at the time. As an experienced Science and Art teacher, I am fascinated by the chemistry of art materials and the way different paints and acrylic mediums respond to each other. You will find gorgeous details in my paintings where the fluid media merge, plays on light and dark, soft and hard edges, transparent and opaque.. Beautiful pieces that will evoke happiness in your home and bring sophistication to your space.
