Artwork Description

Dramatic black and white painting, which will excite your imagination. Painted intuitively, the beauty of the black, white and pewter tones will have you staring. What does your mind conjure??

With a fascination for the science behind mediums and how they interact, this painting is an exploration of these relationships as well as emotion. Delicious details of thinner and thicker paints meeting and creating organic patterns will have you looking up close at the piece. Textural background and metallic pewter paint adds to the luxury feel.

This artwork would look perfect in a modern home, and will suit a wide range of colour schemes due to its minimalist palette. Edges painted black or choose a black, white or oak frame for an elegant finish.

This painting features layers of free flowing paint, fluid acrylics, texture and spray paint. Lots of beautiful layering and depth which will keep you discovering new elements with each viewing.

Measuring 100 x 100cm x 3.5cm, this artwork will be a statement in any home. Choose the option of black, white or raw oak float frame for added sophistication.

‘In situ’ photos have been included to help you see how an artwork will look in your space as well as mock ups with frames added. Note to choose the framing option if you would like a frame added. These photos were created using the ArtRooms app and may not be perfectly to scale. While every effort has been made to represent the size of the art accurately but please be sure to read the dimensions of the artwork to ensure it fits your space perfectly.

Artist Bio

Give me a canvas and I no longer fear the white space. I love the freedom of fluid mediums, the energy that comes with letting loose and intuitively painting what I feel right then and there. Since becoming a mum (now of two), I no longer have time to procrastinate, and that has allowed my work to become more honest, free and explosive.

I love to create large scale pieces that invite you to come closer, look for the details, the texture, interactions between different media. The marks are made with all the tools I can find - my hands, finger tips, palette knives, brushes, cups, pippettes, whatever I can find! Dripping, splashing, tipping paint and mixed media - it's all so delicious!

I take inspiration from all around me- but most often from what I'm feeling at the time. As an experienced Science and Art teacher, I am fascinated by the chemistry of art materials and the way different paints and acrylic mediums respond to each other. You will find gorgeous details in my paintings where the fluid media merge, plays on light and dark, soft and hard edges, transparent and opaque.. Beautiful pieces that will evoke happiness in your home and bring sophistication to your space.
