This abstract painting evokes a sense of industrial mystery and subterranean depth. The diagonal slope suggests the incline of a slanted rock face while the vertical structures intersecting it brings to mind scaffolding, elevators or support beams cutting through the earth the muted sombre colour palette ,greys ,browns and dusky blues add to the atmosphere of isolation and toil, reminiscent of the shadowy depths of a mining operation. The interplay of these elements gives the painting a dynamic tension between structure and chaos, surface and depth.

Artwork Description
Artist Bio
I am a proud father and stepfather of four and grandfather of two who after after retirement from working in construction and mental health for many years finally found time to pursue my lifelong interest in art.
I am self taught and enjoy the satisfaction of experimentation and discovery and the anticipation of what will emerge from the piece being worked on.
I am inspired by many things in nature and the built environment particularly the fleeting and unexpected images you sometimes see out of the corner of the eye in poor light.
Thank you for looking at my work and I hope you found them interesting and as enjoyable as I did creating them.
