Artwork Description

This abstract art piece was inspired by Shodo - the art of Japanese calligraphy. In Shodo, an ink dipped brush is used to write characters and is a meditative art form. The center of this piece shows an Enso symbol surrounded by strokes of wild, undulating shapes that capture a kinetic energy. The Enso itself represents absolute enlightenment, strength, elegance, the universe, and mu (the void).

Artist Bio

I am an engineer by day and a creative by night. I have been making paintings since I was in high school and mostly specialize in acrylic on canvas. I like to delve into surrealist styled art but also dabble in other art styles such as abstract, oriental or still life. I like to use vibrant colors that invigorate the viewer and saturate your eyes for a truly provocative experience!
