Terese Hudson is a contemporary artist. A bit of Urban, a bit Pop, some abstract and quite a few industrial style iconic portraits, with a modern twist.
Grew up on the Central Coast, Wamberal; Terese Hudson has been residing in Lake Macquarie with husband and three children.
She began drawing and painting in her primary years. Starting out drawing cartoons such as The looney tunes, Disney, flowers, shells to the coastal beaches. Terese Hudson went to many GATS camps (Gifted and Talented Students Programs and also had many art tutors and classes which introduced her to various mediums and techniques. In her early twenties, she started an apprenticeship as a tattooist in Gosford. She then ascertained a great deal of experience in most mediums, all of which have paved the path for her latest endeavour. The creative skills and knowledge that she has gained from her past experience are quite integral to her aesthetic process.
Not being one to shy away from a vivid colour palette, Terese Hudson draws inspiration from her outdoor surroundings. Many of her pieces are directly influenced by these outdoor trips.
‘I use many different mediums, such as oils, acrylics, watercolour, pencils/graphite, pastels, inks and spray paints. Anything really that I can use that makes a mark to create! I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process’.
Terese Hudson intensely combines colour and vibrancy to produce art that inspires and delights, willing to capture eyes and attention.
“ My art is a vision inside and outside of my reality. These are the best words that can explain the core of my works.”
