celebration of marine life reimagined through the lens of street art. Using acrylics, spray paint, and Posca pens, I fused the raw energy of graffiti culture with the fluid movement of the ocean.
The central figure, a neon sea turtle, emerges as both ancient and electric — its shell glowing in fiery orange while drips of fluorescent pink, green, and blue cascade from its form. The paint drips become symbolic currents, blurring the boundary between the organic and the urban, the sea and the street. Surrounding coral forms pulse in radiant fluro hues, while bubbles suspended in layered blues evoke the weightless drift of the underwater world.
This piece embodies the tension between fragility and resilience. The turtle, a timeless symbol of endurance, glows with urban vibrancy, reminding us that marine ecosystems — much like street art — are ephemeral, precious, and deserving of protection. It’s both a homage to the ocean’s brilliance and a call to preserve its wild, untamed beauty.
