Artwork Description

Part of a series, Imposition II is a minimalist modern abstract in light magenta and deep burgundy. The statement blocks of colour disguise depth and detail only visible at close range.

Sold as a rolled canvas with framing options available.

Artist Bio

Terri Fraser is an Adelaide-based contemporary artist whose practice explores the relationship between abstraction, landscape and the natural environment.

Drawing inspiration from the landscapes of South Australia, her work translates observations of the natural world into expressive compositions of colour, form and texture. Moving between abstraction and recognisable landscape elements, Terri uses simplified shapes, layered surfaces and gestural mark-making to explore the character and atmosphere of place.

Her paintings are less concerned with literal representation than with capturing an impression, feeling or moment. Through an evolving visual language, she explores the relationship between the physical landscape and its emotional resonance, inviting viewers to bring their own interpretations and associations to the work.
