Artwork Description

This work was recently awarded “Best Artwork in Show” at the inaugural Eucalyptus Museum Art Show (Vic). It typifies the artist’s particular love of black cockatoos and their shy, but clownish, antics. This watercolour work has been created using mineral based pigments, which have given the bird’s feather’s a reflective gleam in the light – reminiscent of the deep purple, green and blue tinted glow of the black cockatoo’s dark plumage.
