Artwork Description

This lovely black cockatoo is depicted against a gold ground background, which contrasts with the luminescent purple, blues and black of the bird's feathers, glowing in the light. This work is entirely in watercolour, with expressive brush strokes depicting the feathered form of the cockatoo as it feasts on gum nuts in the eucalyptus leaves.
