This painting is from a photo i took while living in Shizuoka Prefecture Japan,About under two hours from Tokyo. I love this part of the coast. I am inspired to paint every time i paint in Japan. I hope you feel what i felt with this painting.

I won the Westmead Hospital (Large artworks section) in 2012.I also was a finalist in the Hawkesbury Art prize in 2012.
Then later resumed competitions in 2023 getting artist choice in the 5landswalkartintheopen competition then following up with first prize in that event last year in 2024. It is a Plein Air art competition which around 30 well established artists spread out within 5 beaches or so then get judged on the artworks at the end of that day.
Tez Dower is an artist with a bright future and is worthy of investing in.
