Five Broken Townsmen

The work is informed by Rashid Johnson's very large montage of tiles, glass. mirrors, etc but on a very much smaller scale. Reference is made to Basquiat, Mondrian, Clemente, Klee and others.
Surface texture mimics ceramics in a kaleidoscope of colour.

Self taught artist with a broad range of influences and interests. To maintain longevity of interest in an artwork I believe that it needs to have elements of whimsy, spontaneity and unconventional interpretation. I am trying to reflects these aspirations in my art.
