Artwork Description

The Artwork titled EMOTIONS 1 is the first of the EMOTION SERIES. While painting this I tried to reflect all the emotions I felt in the course of the previous year. In COVID times, with no job, all alone and away from my extended family with no idea of when I would likely visit them next, yet being close to my husband and children and trying to show resilience in the tough times and trying to find the silver lining -I have tried to portray all the feelings and emotions I went though.

Artist Bio

I am Ayesha Bakhtawar Saad. Born and raised in Pakistan, I moved to Saudi Arabia after marriage and lived there for 5 years before immigrating to Australia in 2017. Each of the places I have lived have a special place in my heart and have helped me grow up to be who I am today. An architect/interior designer by profession I worked in my field in Pakistan and Saudi Arabia before coming to Australia and choosing to be stay a home mom till kids joined school. Bouncing back into the same field after a long career break and no local experience proved to be a distant dream and I have henceforth found enjoyment and passion in art. I see it as an extension of interiors and interior décor since art and textures and use of color sum up the interior spaces to a major extent. My style of art reflects my mood: the calm and peace at times and excitement and passion the other with hints of frustration and turmoil and sometimes utter bliss. I love to add texture and movement to my art work. Art transcends borders and helps me feel connected to the creative world bridging all gaps and helping us bring us closer. I am very excited to see how my journey goes.
