Some years ago we did a cruise around the Greek Islands. The white buildings contrasting with the intense blue colours of the water and the cloudless sky was a memorable sight. This little laneway was part of a seaside restaurant, and as I walked past I snapped a quick photo. When I got home, I decided to paint the scene that had caught my attention in that fleeting moment. The colourful scattered cushions on the seating emphasising those intense blues, the grey and white cobblestones floors, all contrasting but mixing beautifully together. This watercolour painting would make a beautiful momento of a wonderful Greek holiday.
