I wanted to create something that was gloomy yet calming. I named it the calm before the storm because it is just that. If you’ve had a long day, the simplicity of this painting can remind you take a deep breath and calm down. This painting is so simple, I only used three main colours (blue, black and white) and two paintbrushes for the whole painting. I used dull colours as such to enhance the peaceful vibe of the painting. And who doesn’t love a calming seascape painting?
