I find myself losing you is the first of a series exploring love, loss, memory and growth.
Eventually, as time passes, raw memories and emotions dull. Hopefully, the pain fortifies us enough to help us to find resolve and to carry on.
This portrait is jarring and is very open to interpretation. It's not entirely autobiographical - instead exploring shared human experiences and feelings. The soft and delicate form of the subject is juxtaposed by the sudden glitches of memories now compromised.
Painted with quality Derivan acrylics on stretched canvas. The background of this piece is a very subtle shade of grey, consistent with Throwaway's palette. The bottom right of this artwork features the artist's signature in white.
