This piece was the result of a recent experiment with pigment ink markers and was documented using high quality time-lapse. In doing this, the piece can not only be enjoyed in its complete state but can also be appreciated at several stages throughout the process.

Throwaway pieces were originally intended to celebrate a fleeting moment (a temporary install in a public place, for example), so the use of time-lapse allows me to straddle the magic of that moment while also presenting something more permanent and collectible.

As a collaboration, the subject of this piece, CXLOE, an Australian musician based in LA kindly provided a series of references in the weeks leading up to the sketching of this portrait. CXLOE more than fulfilled the brief by providing a series of emotive and captivating images.

The piece itself is an absolute conversation starter. The lustre of the metal sheet plays with light as you move around the piece. Its lines are chaotically drawn but come together to form a cohesive and emotive portrait. While this piece has the potential to be the focal point of a minimalist or industrial home, its pop art elements make it a perfect addition to any space.

Jack Post stands slouched over slightly while glaring off to the middle distance. His expression sits somewhere between distracted and resentful.

He is dressed as Batmanโ€™s Robin, in a typical 1960s camp Robin costume, complete with tights, leather gloves and a long cape.

Smoke fills the bottom of the portrait.Madonna and the Child depicts a young woman, dressed in robes, resembling the Virgin Mary. She is sitting on the ground and her head is illuminated by a circular halo, similar to those seen in religious images of Madonna. Rather than looking over an infant Jesus, this version of the Virgin Mary is gazing over a levitating metallic crib containing Baby Yoda.A young woman sits in a dark shallow space, an intimate setting that draws the viewer's attention exclusively on her. She faces away from the viewer, but looks back over her left shoulder.

A large ear spacer (or tunnel) is visible in her left earlobe. Her hair is cut very short on one side of her head, and her blonde hair is flipped over the right side of her head. The subject of this black and white artwork is Australian comedian Mark Samual Bonano. Mark is wearing a traditional Italian harlequin clown costume - a skin tight body suit covered in diamond pattern. He is adorned with neck and wrist ruffles. Mark is kneeling on the ground while holding an oversized rose.

While he first appears to be smiling, closer inspection reveals that his expression appears to mask sadness. He stares forlornly into the middle distance.
