This original painting is more of a realistic rendition with more defined details. The contrast between the soft pink hues and the surrounding rugged terrain evokes a sense of wonder and introspection. It's a place where nature defies expectations, and I hope to reflect that magic in this work.

With nil formal art training, Tian picked up her first watercolour brush in June 2023 and quickly fell in love with the medium. Since then, painting has become a meaningful creative outlet alongside her part-time work in acute healthcare setting. Always curious and eager to grow, she’s explored a wide range of resources to develop her skills, and had the chance to learn under the guidance of Australian artist David Taylor in 2024, followed by mentorship from Annee Kelly in 2025. Though painting began as a hobby, Tian is passionate about creating original pieces that reflect her own perspective, from experimenting with different watercolour techniques and enjoying painting en plein air.
