Ananaksaq

Alaska is my Nirvana. Although quite beautiful, The northern State of America can be unforgiving. The cold wet winters, fierce native animals. No one knows this better than the native people. Day to day is a constant battle with the environment. So this artwork is a tribute the the elders of one of the most dangerous places on Earth. Strong, courageous and resilient, looking into the portrait, I'm always reminded of how i can be a better person in my own life.

Always looking to gain experience and knowledge in everything by doing. I predominantly use acrylics and inks but dabble in all mediums to progress and grow as an artist. A love for traditional cultures, nature and family have funneled my artistic focus to portraits and nature.

My works are a reflection of my interests and personality. My signature style could be amusingly considered "scribbles". Living a chaotic and unpredictable existence the scribbles reflect the day to day ups and downs but somehow manage to shape and become something worthy.

Painting is therapy only much cheaper.
