Artwork Description

The idea of this gorgeous painting of a young black woman came after rifling through my fathers record collection and stumbling across Hot Chocolate. The 70s band made smooth easy listening soul music. She was the woman i imagine the band hung out with during the recording process.

Artist Bio

A Victorian artist reintroducing myself to my creative side.
Always looking to gain experience and knowledge in everything by doing. I predominantly use acrylics and inks but dabble in all mediums to progress and grow as an artist. A love for traditional cultures, nature and family have funneled my artistic focus to portraits and nature.

My works are a reflection of my interests and personality. My signature style could be amusingly considered "scribbles". Living a chaotic and unpredictable existence the scribbles reflect the day to day ups and downs but somehow manage to shape and become something worthy.

Painting is therapy only much cheaper.
