'Drag' is a surrealist look at our own distorted perspective of ourselves. With social media being the conception to an increase in body dysmorphia - while it can be somewhat positive - this painting is a reminder for myself, to not judge myself so harshly when it comes to personal image.

My name is Tim Hodgman.

I am an artist from Queensland and have been performing some artistic task since I can remember. I started my work life as a forklift driver with not much future ahead of me, however; I refused to let it get the best of me and pursued the craft that has driven most of my life. From there, my artistic background has mostly been working in film, which is a career that has made me fortunate enough to travel globally.
I have now - being vastly inspired - transformed all the artistic practice I have learned and invested into my painting. This is art that speaks to me and I would hope that it speaks to you as well.
