Howdy all. I am a local Brisbane musician and artist, so I guess a creative soul.
I have been fortunate to have played in Brisbane bands since the 80's and currently in a covers band. More recently, I have revisited my other love which is painting.
Coastal landscapes and beach/surfing scenes have occupied my painting time recently but I enjoy exploring other themes from time to time.
A lifetime of holiday experiences on Stradbroke Island, the Sunshine and Gold Coasts and visiting coastal towns up and down the east coast of Australia and surfing over in Lombok Bali have definitely influenced my painting.
My works are all in acrylic and painted on quality stretched canvases over a timber frame.
The best compliment I have received on my paintings to date is 'your paintings make me happy'. I've never forgotten this reaction and it drives me in my style and subject choice.
