Artwork Description

Hefka is Hebrew for 'unclaimed fruit' any fruit that grows in the sabbatical year in which the crops would be left to furrow and nobody owned the land. If fruit grew on this land it was called Hefka.

I used this because I feel that's how my art feels as if it is unclaimed fruit.

The canvas was a close up picture of a poppy that I bought at an opshop and transformed.

Artist Bio

I’m Tim, a painter based in Newcastle, Australia, just north of Sydney. My work is driven by the joy of creating and the love of exploring ideas through paint. Most of my weekends are spent in the studio, experimenting with styles and techniques, while I work as a delivery driver during the week.

Over time, I’ve curated a collection of over 400 works, each representing a chapter in my artistic journey. My portfolio reflects the styles I’ve explored and the narratives I’ve pursued, from intimate, reflective pieces to larger, concept-driven works. Through my art, I aim to share both personal experiences and universal stories, inviting viewers to engage with each piece on its own terms.
