This work has been painted en plein air in my Adelaide Hills garden. A direct-observational artwork. I have captured the essence of a large planting of succulents, principally the 'Echeveria Exotic' in full bloom. Painted with focussed energy and impasto treatment the work has significant texture and a lush palette. The artwork was painted at the height of Summer. This work should be uplifting and bring a sense of calm into any room. The painting has been created on a high quality stretched artist canvas, on a well constructed solid timber stretcher frame made by Elite Picture Framing, Adelaide.
