Mythos

Mythos, painted 2007, is part of a series of abstract paintings exploring multiple themes. In particular, the artist’s exploration of how meaning emerges and grows even from minimalist and abstract works, gestures and practices.

Note: The artwork does include craquelure or fine cracks in the paintings surface. Given the themes of the series of works, the artist is not concerned with further degradation of the surface.

Australian Artist, born 1978. O’Sullivan attended the University of Sydney where he attained a bachelor of Visual Art. He majored in Fine Art Painting and graduated in 2006. He has produced hundreds of works, exhibited his drawings and paintings in Australia and online around the world. His work is held in major collections of University of NSW and in private collections in the US.
His work covers a broad range of themes and reflects a prodigious talent that imbibes a deep thoughtfulness into the act of painting.
