This print is an open edition print of my illustration - GARDEN OF EDEN - Rotten Fruit & Sweet Juices

Inspired by the story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden,
the illustration uses notes of optical illusions and ideologies of surrealist art
to depict a garden scene of apples and fruits interlaced and formed by layers of
bodies, veins and organic structures. The juxtaposition between the beautiful and the grotesque
here comments on the human nature and temptations giftwrapped in sweetness but sinfully rotten.

The original piece was an ink and pencil illustration on paper.

Artist Bio

Hello! I'm Ming or friends know me as Timothy. I grew up and currently work, in Sydney, Australia. I was brought up with a Fine Arts background with a love of Traditional Arts and Crafts before moving into the Digital.

I continue to develop my creative practice and better services through my sole-trade/freelance business - Ming Studios. Working under the alias #mingmushi, I have a strong focus on what I create and who I create for. This is underpinned by a respect for both the Traditional and the Digital. The acknowledgment of the old and new is often played out in the conceptual and material elements of my work. A positive energy is what I desire to bring to the table.
