I’m Tina, a self-taught painter based in Canberra. I’ve been painting for a couple of years now, and honestly, I’m still surprised by how much it’s taken over my life.
My work is about a specific kind of moment — the ones where the world slows down. Light settling across an open field. The pause before everything moves again. I’m drawn to those in-between spaces, where there’s room to breathe and just be.
I work in acrylics, mostly landscapes and coastal scenes, using impressionistic brushwork to capture feeling over detail. I’m less interested in painting a place exactly as it is, and more interested in how it feels to be there.
Each piece is my attempt to offer that slowness to whoever lives with it — a quiet corner in a busy home, a moment to stop and settle.
