‘After the Rain’ is an artwork in a series that I’ve been painting concerning beauty in our every day urban environment. The pavement level perspective captures the reflected light on a wet street after the rain has cleared.

The streetscapes I paint are usually devoid of people because they detract from the focus of the scene namely the complex and distorting inter play of light. I've made an exception here with a blurred figure departing the scene adding a bit of intrigue.

This artwork has a stained Tasmanian oak shadow frame with the framed dimensions of 64cm (w) x 64cm (h) x 5.5cm (d).
