‘Heading Home' has been released as a limited edition 1 - 15. It is a reproduction of my original acrylic painting on aluminium.
Here's what I wrote about the original artwork:
"Images can evoke recollections of time, place, people and feelings, for me ‘Heading Home’ elicits the feeling I used to get waiting for a bus or tram to escape the city on a wet, miserable night after a long day at work. This feeling is best described as just wanting to leave the troubles of the day behind and head for the sanctuary and comfort of home.
I’ve painted a bokeh effect in this cityscape artwork, the term comes from the Japanese word boke which means ‘blur’ or ‘haze’. Although the bokeh effect is primarily a photographic technique I’ve replicated it here to accentuate the distorting and abstracting effect it has on the sources of light."
Presented in a white shadow box frame with protective 2mm perspex that is light, won’t break in transit and has the appearance of glass. The artwork is ready to hang.
The total dimensions including white border and frame: 52cm x 52cm, 4.5cm profile.
Image dimensions: 40cm x 40cm
Framed art prints with perspex are heavily protected in double bubble wrap and double cardboard.
