The laneways of Melbourne are full of hidden finds, I’ve lived in the inner city for over 10 years but I didn’t know this spot near the Aquarium even existed until recently. While the Food Hall sign illuminates its surroundings, timing is everything and it took a return trip to find that the sky at dusk gave the perfect backdrop.
The urban landscape serves as a canvas of paradoxes, intertwining connection and isolation in the lives of its inhabitants. As an artist, I am endlessly inspired by this dichotomy. This artwork is part ongoing urban landscape series where I strive to reveal the overlooked beauty present in the banal and sometimes grim aspects of city life.
