Artwork Description

The inner city Melbourne suburb of Fitzroy has been variously described as bohemian, eclectic, hipster, grotty even but never boring. This painting captures some of that Fitzroy vibrancy during the Midsumma Festival Street Party on Gertrude Street earlier this year. Sharp lines and detail have been omitted in the process of applying layers of aerosol paint resulting in an image as if seen through squinting eyes or an unfocused camera.

Exhibited in the Melbourne Affordable Art Fair 2023.

This artwork has a stained Tasmanian oak shadow frame with the framed dimensions of 64cm (w) x 64cm (h) x 5.5cm (d).
