Artwork Description

After the grey and cold of winter in Melbourne spring heralds the promise of warmer days ahead. With spring come the vibrant greens of the London Plane and Elm trees while the ubiquitous black puffer jackets make way for more colourful choices of clothing. I omitted all the sharp lines and detail in the painting process resulting in an image as if seen through squinting eyes or an unfocused camera. The end result is more like a memory than a snapshot in time.

Exhibited at the Affordable Art Fair Melbourne, 2023.

This artwork has a stained Tasmanian oak shadow frame with the framed dimensions of 64cm (w) x 64cm (h) x 5.5cm (d).
