‘The Other Mona Lisa’ is part of a series of unconventional blurred artworks that I've been painting where the subject is vaguely familiar yet foreign however in this case the painting is immediately recognisable. In this painting I've 'remastered' the ca1505 Mona Lisa portrait by Italian artist Leonardo da Vinci(1452 - 1519). Sharp lines and detail have been omitted in the painting process of layered aerosol paint resulting in an image as if seen though squinting eyes or an unfocussed camera.
This painting was a commission for a collector in Los Angeles.
