‘Winter Walker’ is the latest artwork in a series I’ve been painting around the theme of beauty in the mundane of our urban environment. It evokes the feeling of winter looking through the distorted, almost abstract filter of condensation and rain covered glass onto a street scene as a stranger walks by, oblivious to the beauty around them.
This painting was a finalist in the 2022 National Capital Art Prize.
The painting has a stained Tasmanian oak shadow frame with the framed dimensions of 105cm (w) x 105cm (h) x 5.5cm (d).
