Artist Bio

Toni-Maree Savage (b. 1972) is a Brisbane-based fine artist. She works in a variety of media, including painting and artisan jewellery. Toni-Maree has a love of learning and holds multiple tertiary qualifications, including a Bachelor of Fine Arts (with Distinction) from Queensland College of Art, Griffith University, a Master of Media Production from Queensland College of Art, Griffith University and a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology Honours) from the University of Queensland. Her work explores the human figure, often investigating notions of womanhood, and contemporary still life. Toni-Maree has a lifelong interest in psychology, relationships and connection, revealed in her thoughtful and evocative compositions. Narrative and storytelling have a strong presence in her work and make for compelling representations.
