Toni also is currently having a love affair with quirky drawings and she develops interesting conversations through them. Exploration of the passionate and sometimes brokenness of human nature is a regular subject matter of hers. The drawings are somewhat naively obscure but intriguing at the same time.

This artwork explores the relationship between a teen and their parents. It’s a tongue in cheek comment on how to parent a teen. This artwork has a very contemporary style. It often gets comments like ‘ It looks like it’s straight from the MCA OR OMG it is the highlight of the show. It has a real presence about it and works well with Toni's other painting 'They Look Here, I Look (Not) There'

Toni is an artist on the Mid north coast of NSW although she has lived in Sydney Melbourne and Japan. She is interested in exploring naïve art. It's simplicity and child like qualities speak to her. The works she currently produces are slightly humorous and involve everyday conversations. Her acrylic paintings explore real conversation but in a simple form. Each painting/drawing has many layers and while it is in a naive style it is developed using artistic skill and painting knowledge.
