I have been fascinated with nature all my life and since moving to Australia have found a connection with the native flora and fauna, a stark difference from my Irish roots. I have a particular fondness for bringing out the beauty of Australia's underdogs. The much maligned Australian White Ibis, or 'bin chicken', the swooping Magpies, lizard stashing Butcher Birds, raucous Seagulls and cunning Crows. And don't get me started about my love of spiders!
I work mainly in graphite, charcoal and ink and have recently started learning more about acrylic paints and colour theory.
