Tony is an international selling Sydney based artist with a studio near the beautiful Blue Mountains and Nepean River. His works are kept in private collections in the US, Germany, Spain, the Middle East, France and Australia. Tony works predominantly with oils and acrylics on canvas but will also dabble with mixed media when the situation suits.
Tony's artistic expression has gone through many phases over the years resulting in a unique approach and perspective, determined by an ideology rather than a recognisable aesthetic guideline. His brushwork is gestural and aggressive and he will use many different types of implements, techniques and mediums to impart interesting marks and textures. He is particularly drawn to the freedom of abstract expressionism, attracted to the fluidity of shape, colour and form as a vehicle for expression. He enjoys the unlimited creative possibilities and not being bound by the technical constraints other genres at times may demand or an over-concern for objective reality . All that is required of you is to have an open and enquiring mind. You have the freedom to explore Tony's work and assign your own meaning which is a very personal process and one that he hopes will enrich your experience of his art.
