Artwork Description

French Girl is a limited edition black and white fine art photograph from an iconic body of work by Antony Potts, featuring a recurring female figure who embodies strength, independence, and sensual presence.
Seated front-facing on a Harley Davidson motorcycle, the subject meets the camera with quiet authority. Dark wraparound sunglasses conceal her gaze, while a polka dot scarf loosely frames her hair. A striped singlet falls from one shoulder, revealing a moment of unguarded intimacy that contrasts with her otherwise formidable stance.
The photograph balances confidence and vulnerability, capturing a fleeting tension between power and sensuality. Rendered in black and white, the image emphasises form, attitude, and character, reinforcing the figure’s enduring presence within the artist’s broader photographic narrative.
