I love the alpine regions of Australia in winter. The mountain rivers are lush with growth and full of snow melt flowing downstream. This painting attempts to capture the quiet beauty of alpine streams full of bird life awaiting the arrival of spring. If you are very lucky a platypus might make an appearance.
I have been an artist for many years and an art director for most of my professional life. I love to weave a spiritual component to my painting and try to provoke an emotional response from the viewer. I like to use a variety of media but usually work with a combination of acrylic, oil and charcoal.
