I love the alpine regions of Australia in winter. The mountain rivers are lush with growth and full of snow melt flowing downstream. This painting attempts to capture the quiet beauty of alpine streams full of bird life awaiting the arrival of spring. If you are very lucky a platypus might make an appearance.
